8-year old Kevin was left behind, when his parents rushed off to France for Christmas. Once he learnt that he was alone at home, he defends his home from two bumbling burglars. This is the story of ‘Home Alone', where the movie takes its viewers through how Kevin alone saved his home from the robbers.
Burglary and crimes are oft-heard incidents in US, as it is elsewhere. The burglars and robbers target those homes that are left with kids alone. Sometimes they intend to kidnap the kids and charge a lot of money from their parents. They are even murdered and exposed to child abuse. It may happen that they are taken from their home by the burglars and beaten up too. This can be effectively guarded, if there is home security. Not all kids are Kevin to turn off the robbers. They fear and panic in most cases. No parent would want their kids to suffer such trauma.
Installing alarm system can secure home. If home alarm has been installed but kids are unable to inform their parents when there is a break in at their home, then the alarm siren is audible enough to alert their neighbors. There is a difference between installing home alarm and ADT Security. The former will only alarm at home if there is any intruder and alert their neighbors and locality but ADT Security will alert its users and police or any higher authorities through phone.
There are two types of alarm systems available for the users and they can choose according to their needs and choices. One is hard-wired and the other is wireless device. Hard-Wired device is wired to the existing home wires and are equipped with control boxes, monitors and sensors. They may be placed wherever needed. A wireless system operates through radio or other electromagnetic waves. Some wireless devices are ‘supervised' in nature, which means that the system monitors sensors to ensure that the control panel is receiving signals. These ‘supervised' wirelesss alarm system can be monitored by central alarm company. If however the homeowner chooses to install, then he can make a contract with the company to avail the service.
Other systems available are portable and removable. They are plugged into any power sources whenever needed and store them for future use. The homeowner must be careful to install such alarm systems. He can call somebody from the installation office, who can guide them to install and uninstall the security system, according to his convenience. No matter how the owners install, the home alarm must work properly to receive signals. Sensors and alarm systems should not be placed in those areas of the home where it is likely to cause false alarms. The transmitters and receiving sensors should be fixed properly so that it can receive all the alarming signals. If the receiver is too weak to carry the signals, it should be fixed in a proper location to detect any intruder. Wireless device is mostly desired at homes as it is easy to use and cost-effective.
